What is Path?
Path’s an online platform to help you manage your HR in one place. You can do all sorts of things, from uploading your employee information to see who’s in and out of the office, to getting insights for staying compliant.
What does Path offer?
Path gives you a range of features including holiday calendars, pay calculators, and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chat function. It also has smart insights. These are notifications that alert you to things like statutory sick pay (eg when one of your employees has been away for more than 4 days).

How do I add my employees?
There are 2 ways you can do this. You can either:
- add your employees individually using the ‘add people’ form, or
- upload everyone at the same time using a csv file
How do I invite my employees?
Once you’ve added your employees to Path, just choose the employees you’d like to invite and the system does the rest. When you invite your employees, Path automatically sends them an invitation. Then they’ll be able to sign in using their own Path accounts.
How do I delete an employee?
Begin by going to the people page where you’ll see a list of all your employees. Then just select the employee you’d like to delete.
How do I input an employee’s emergency contact details once they’re on Path?
Go to the people page where you’ll see a list of all your employees. Then choose the employee you’d like to enter emergency contact details for, and click on edit to add their details.
How do I save documents to one of my employee's profiles?
Go to the people page where you’ll see a list of all your employees. Then choose the relevant employee and click on their name to see their profile. Then select the 'documents' tab and look for 'upload file'. Finally, check Path supports the file type and upload it.

What is our company holiday policy?
Your holiday policy is the amount of holiday days your company allocates to employees annually. Your policy also includes your company's holiday year. This is the date range that your employees must take their holiday within.
How do I set my company holiday policy?
The first thing to do is to go to your settings in the menu. Then look for ‘company’, and select it. You’ll then see a field where you can enter your allocated days.

Go to your settings in the menu and select ‘company’. You’ll then be able to set the start and end dates that apply to your own company.

How can I switch off notifications?
Just go into your preferences page and you’ll be able to switch notifications off from there.

How do I change my email?

How do I delete my account?
Just get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll delete your account straight away.
Can I cancel holiday once I've booked it?
As an employee, you can cancel holiday you’ve booked by going into the holiday calendar and selecting the dates you want to cancel.
How do I change someone's holiday entitlement if they are working part time?
If you have part-time employees you can change their holiday allowance within their employee profiles. Simply go to 'people', select the employee and change their holiday entitlement from there.
How do I delete a holiday booked for an employee in error?
At the moment only an employee can cancel their holiday so you would need to ask the employee to delete it.
How do I amend a holiday from the calendar?
Go to 'time off', then click on the calendar and you’ll be able to delete the dates from there.
Can the system work out holidays for zero-hour contracts?
Sadly no, not at the moment.
How do I book holidays for an employer?
At this stage we're not supporting employers booking time off for themselves, but it's something we're planning to offer in the future.
How can I check if an employee is entitled to maternity/paternity pay?
Ask the Path Assistant - if your employee data’s on Path, it will be able to tell you straight away.
What do I do if I have problems with my account?

Managing your employee account
How do I get a Path account?
You'll get an email from your employer inviting you to join. Then all you have to do is sign up using an email address and password.
How do I book a holiday?
Simply go to time off and you'll see your holiday calendar. Then click book to choose the dates you’d like to take off.
How do I find out how much holiday I have left?
You can do this in 2 places - your profile and the holiday calendar. Your administrator adds your holiday allowance to Path. So, if you can’t see your allocation, it’s worth checking to see if they’ve added it to the system.
How do I change my email?
You can edit your own email address by logging into your Path account. Your new email will be the email address you use to log into Path. And you don’t have to think of a new password - you can use your existing one.
How do I add my contact details?
Once your administrator's invited you to use Path, you can add your contact details in the My Profile section.
How do I edit my profile?
Once your administrator has invited you to join Path, you can edit your details in the My Profile section.
How do I input my emergency contact details?
Once your administrator has invited you to join Path, you can put in your emergency contact details in the My Profile section.
Can I cancel holiday I’ve booked?
Yes. Start by going to 'time off', you'll then see your calendar appear. Next just select ‘My holiday’ and delete the dates you’d originally booked.
Why can't I add myself as an employee?
This is because Path doesn't currently support this. At the moment your employer has to invite you to the platform, you can't add yourself.
